Fish Program
The Warren County SWCD sells fish (trout, bass, minnows) once per year in October
to interested pond owners in Warren County. We purchase these fish from a private
fish hatchery in central New York and they are brought up in a special truck
suited for this purpose. This program helps local pond owners stock their ponds,
as there is no local private hatchery where they can purchase fish from.
The District's pond stocking program is on a pre-order basis, and orders are taken
in September every year. The 2009 Order Form is available here.
